Interview with EMIXFAIR - 01st March 2007

IDP: Hello Emixfair! For those who don't know your project, can you tell us about it and of course about the persons behind the name "Emixfair", please?

Emixfair: Hi Italodanceportal!!! We are Emixfair, composed of 3 french guys: Tony (23) & Giulian (21) who are composers and Aurelio (23) who is author/singer. The group was born in 2002 by the old name Djitalsystem and turn into “Emixfair” in march 2005 due to entrance of Aurelio in the musical group.

IDP: What music styles are you listening to other than what you produce?

Emixfair: We think listen all types of music styles is good for making a good track, for having a musical knowledge, be open-minded. Our styles are from oldies, funk, pop… to disco or electro…

IDP: Who is/are your favourite artist(s)?

Emixfair: According to Tony: Pink Floyd, Jean-michel Jarre, Coldpaly, Ennio Morricone, Benassi Bros, Gigi d’Agostino, dj Ross, Daft Punk…
According to Giulian: Rem, Catch 22, Benassi Bros, Prezioso, Gigi d’Agostino,Eiffel 65, Gabry Ponte, Pink Floyd…
According to Aurelio: Scorpions, Queen, Madonna, Eiffel 65, Jean-michel Jarre, Gabry Ponte, Prezioso, Daft Punk…

We could still be here tomorrow morning if we named everything we like to listen to listennings

IDP: What do you like to do on your spare time?

Emixfair: Infact, we have many occupations in our lives. Giulian is always student, Tony and Aurelio have a job.
Our spare time is our music composing or writing time weekends and evenings are full or work for the group, except when we have live sets, or when we go to restaurants: We love Italian food cause our family comes from Italy, north (Bergamo) for Aurelio, center (Frosinone) for Tony, and south (Alcamo) for Giulian.
We love dance, go to theatre, make travels, and laugh…

IDP: Your upcoming single "Love from a star", when will it be ready and available at the (online) stores?

Emixfair: So, we are hardly working for the release everywhere in Europe. Arc-records will put soon all of our tracks + 2 remixes on internet legal downloading. You could hear all the tracks on our official website emixfair.com The Tbm dj remix is already sold on the compilation “best italodance hits 2007” and the song is on Italian dance network top 5 since 4 weeks. Hope all will go well for the future.
We are making a new project for Manovale Sonoro concerning his new track… but we can’t say you more

IDP: What do you think about the future of Italo Dance music?

Emixfair: Italodance is not an old style, not dead, it remains to say a lot. But we can’t define italodance only by the fact you could hear a 140 bpm music with lead synthesizers and melodie. A music is a world, a travel and it needs to be catchy and emotive focusing on something which brings you. Too many songs have non sense nowadays. Italodance will survive by referring to these aims. This is our current work.

Emixfair: That’s a good way to keep italodance alive wish you the best! Keep the way on!
