i agree , its good sounds , but the melody just doesnt fit vocal , and then it gets very "flat" ...
try to put more power in your bass also

Wow ...on some parts the basso fits VERY rox with the melody/piano

I like your basso sound ..just need little more deep "mauro vay effect" the attack is rox! 
Music wise it sounds good. Nice beat!
But. Imo you used the wrong chords behind the chorus vocals
. You just don't get the same great feeling as from the original song.
