The incredible story of Juan Martinez !

You maybe don't know it, but Juan Martinez aka Philtronic aka Italian Vocals has been pretty active in the italo scene without ever getting famous !

Now he's getting more and more attention because of the several releases who came on his label recently...

But here's some info and rare stuff about this guy ! He's making italo for now several years ! he actually released 2albums, totally italo ! and several Vynils with his Philtronic project !

and the Planeta Mix label is old ! PlanetaMix Records started in late 2002! it was actually "Planeta Mix Records Brasil" (i'm not sure it was Brasil but since i searched a lot it seems to be pretty true).

So he started his adventure with a 2003 project : Philtronic.

He released 3 singles under that name :
Philtronic VS I Santo California "Tornero 2003"
Philtronic "I Want You 2003"
PhilTronic "Electronic Music"

Then came 2 albums ! YES 2 albums ! containing covers and original songs !

The first album is "Super Star" and it contains 13 Tracks

I think most of the tracks are pretty good.. I'm actually talking with Juan to get these CD asap to post some audio previews !

Anyway i searched if there was a reference for theses albums and singles, i couldn't find one sadly..

But later from 2005 to 2007 he released several Vynils, they aren't italo sadly, at least, not every vynils.. Here's the list.. most of them are impossible to find.. or only available via illegal download.. (some are maybe available @ Juno)

These following references different from the actual PlanetaMix Catalogue !
For example PLAMIX001 got released in 2005 and was "DJ Juan Martinez - Easy Lady" on Vynil and another PLAMIX001 got released this year and is "Italian Vocals the Album"

..Yeah it's pretty confusing.

You can search for them on the internet..maybe you'll find Juno links, but most of them are rips from the illegal Scene..

Then as we all know, came in 2008 the definitive label PlanetaMixRecordsSpain, with now 17 releases in their catalogue, pretty much all italo !

Anyway i hope you enjoyed my investigation and discovered some great things about this producer called Juan Martinez who diserve some attention now ! hehe

[UPDATE] Just when i thought this guy could not produce more I just found that he released not 2, not 3, but 4 different albums !

In 2002 between the release of Living in the music and Superstar, he released "Time's Melody" containing 16 Tracks !

It's an impressive discography, and apparantly he had a lot attention in Brazil and he's considered as the importer of the italo dance in Brasil. Too bad his albums never reached Europe cause he could have been among the other italo classic since his music has a really good quality and not the amateurism of his last productions on Planeta Mix Spain...
