Question regarding two artists

Hello. I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure if this belongs here or not but I have a question regarding two artists. One of them is Fantasy Project and the other one is Fabrizio e Marco.

Regarding Fantasy Project,
Does anyone know what happened to this dance act? It was going so well for them during the early 2000s and a lot of their releases during that time were pretty impressive. Then near the beginning of 2010, their success begin to wore off and the quality of music began to decline. It seems that the project is still active to this day but something doesn't seem right. For one, they switched to some dance/pop type of style but it sounds awful. And two, the lyrics became unintelligible compared to the ones from their successful releases. My question is what happened to this duo? Did one of the members (NDA) leave the project around 2010? If so, was it because they couldn't adapt to the current music trends? They're pretty much how I found out about the italodance label called Arc Records (which is fantastic).

And with Arc Records, I find out about Fabrizio e Marco.
Now this question isn't about the duo in general but is regarding Macro.

Does anybody know what he's up to these days? I really like his performance and it kinda sucks that he quit after the few songs he has done with Fabrizio and DJ Sanny J (creepy looking dude). I hope he's doing well. I wish there was more from him but I'm happy with the few collabs he has done. Even if it wasn't much.

Those are my two questions. Nice to meet you guys btw. It's cool how this forum remains active after more than a decade.

Yeah but it's not like how they were pre-2010. Feels like their production quality has declined.

Hi DamDidiDoo welcome to IDP and thanks for joining us!

Fantasy Project was supported and produced by C.Y.T. in the early days, co-owner of ARC Records. Dominik Cydlik is one of the best italodance producers that ever lived and I think they dropped out of the project sometime after 2007/08. Dominik knows the exact details here. I don't know who started producing the music after that, but I agree with you on the quality direction.

Fabrizio e Marco was another C.Y.T. and ARC Records project from the 2000s. Marco Marello was the lead singer of the group and also sang on a few other productions. Again Dominik can probably answer why they decided to call it quits after only a few singles, but my guess would be that the project didn't really take off. I don't know what Marco is up to today, but he hasn't released any music since 2008.

I really appreciate the response. Thank you so much.
Any good labels for me to check out after deep-diving into ARC Records? Preferably ones that C.Y.T. has produced for?

C.Y.T. owns ARC Records so that's where you'll find the most remixes from him. You can check out his Discogs page for more.

Other good italo labels? how about our label "IDP Records" Laughing out loud

Some of the most famous italodance label through time are:

DIY
Media Records
Time Records
Moremoney
Planeta Mix Records

just to name a few.

Wow you guys actually have your own label? That's pretty awesome. Do you profit off of it or is it just some passion project?
Either way, I'll be sure to check out every single one of them starting with your label. Thank you so much!

Everything around italodance is pretty much a passion project these days. This very website is Tongue

Only very few artist can make a living out of the music, like Gigi D'Agostino with Lento/Italo fulltime. Others, like Gabry Ponte still make a living out of music but in other genres mostly these days.

Yup we have a label where we help get the music out there for any producers that need a helping hand. Check out the webshop in the menu too.

And IDP also has a radio station just playing italodance in case you get tired looking around for new music yourself Wink

I see you guys have a Discogs page. That's pretty useful to me since I love to check out labels from the very beginning. If I find something I like and it's available in the webshop in digital or physical format, I'll make sure to buy it.

Does the radio station play music that's exclusive to IDP Records or does it play from different labels? How do you keep it afloat? Do you have supporters funding it?
Either way, I'll be sure to check out that internet radio site.

We only have about 50 releases total on IDP Records, so would be kinda boring if that was it for the radio Laughing out loud
No, it has a lot more than that, from many labels and artists.

It's all hobby projects really, funded by ourselves Smile

Well I hope your internet radio stays up for many decades to come. I'm getting a job soon so I probably will stick around and send some donations to keep it afloat. I'll be sure to also pick up a few stuff from the IDP webshop as well. Really love this site.
