Jim & Stian - Dagen Derpa

Here is the thing. There is this Swedish song Jim & Stian - Dagen Derpa. I suppose many know this song, because in my opinion it is Italodance style like Basshunter - Boten Anna. I got a few questions (These questions inhold all Italodance songs, but I focus on this particular song). There are more versions, but this one is the clearest.

1. Is this song officially released?
2. What does it depend on if a song is released in a country (in this case Holland). Does the initiative come from the artist, from Holland or a combination?
3. I see great potential in this song. Why would it not be released in Holland?
4. What can I do to make this song released in Holland? I mean I'm not a musican, I'm not a record company, I'm nothing in the world of music.

First of all the songs needs support by djs and radio hosts. For a song to become popular you need to make sure that most people will listen it in some way either by having the song aired in popular radios, by djs or live around the country. To become popular it needs attention from everyone.

Labels may not have noticed the song. Labels might dislike the song. Labels might not believe it to have potential to be hit. There could be many reasons. Like everything else in economics a release is an investment, if you invest in the wrong thing you can lose your money.

Try sending a demo to all local labels. Send it to djs and radio stations or try to get your friends to spread it. Basshunter got popular over the internet by friends telling other friends about it. But... labels spend major amounts of money to make songs become hits and they may not always be very successful.
